Abstract
"The materials I am analysing in this article were gathered between 16 November and 16 December 1993 during field work for a Leeds University research project on the teaching of theology and religious studies in contemporary Russia and Ukraine. The principal objective of this project is 'to arrive at a detailed and informed under- standing of the main developments in the teaching of theology and religious studies under the conditions of post-Soviet society'.! This article aims to provide information about the content and structure of particular courses of study in the academic year 1993-4."
