Abstract
"Mi mujer y yo hemos estado en Moscú desde el martes 17 hasta el jueves 26 de septiembre de 2002. Vladimir Benjaminovitch me urgía desde hace años: “Venga, escribía él, apresúrese a venir”. Yo lo comprendía al revés, pensando que hacía alusión a un plazo “político” –el final del “deshielo”, una recuperación por las “fuerzas antidemocráticas”. Pero en el “mundo” donde vivimos –no más en Rusia que en Occidente–, no hay lugar para la política, en el verdadero sentido del término. Imaginar lo contrario es, simplemente, manifestar que no se tiene idea, realmente, de lo que la política podría ser, de lo que debería ser" ["My wife and I have been in Moscow since Tuesday 17 to Thursday 26 September 2002.
