Abstract
" School as an educational institution has strategic position in internalizing the gender perspective in education including the values of gender discourse that must be started earlier, especially since the basic education level. The selection of appropriate teaching materials and learning process that is not discriminatory is a determinant factor in the success of the internalizing of gender discourse. Teachers are required to be creative and innovative in designing a learning and teaching resources. Internalizing the values of gender equality in the students since the early appreciation of literature through the works of literature in the language subjects can be done with; (1) Choosing an example in the case of works of literature as teaching materials. (2) Presenting examples of the quote in the paper literature such as children and photographers. (3) Selection of a text book that contains the works of literature that quote intensive gender."
