Abstract
Business and professional schools often include ethics instruction, and graduating students are often idealistic about their ethics. But this can change to ethical numbness. The paper examines five causes of ethical numbness among lawyers in the Asia and South Pacific region. How can we counteract this numbness, and maintain a strong sense of ethics among legal professionals? The paper identifies five strategies which are employed across the region to maintain the early ideals.
