Abstract
"Jesus used different teaching methods during his ministry. One was the method of parabolic actions, in a similar fashion to the symbolic actions of the prophets in the Old Testament. This research analyzes Jesus’ choosing of the twelve disciples, according to the account of the Evangelist Mark, from the perspective of a parabolic action. In addition, it seeks to answer the question regarding the action’s meaning."
