Abstract
"[This] compendium of ethics codes and instruments of corporate responsibility was been compiled as a companion to the book Ethics Codes, Corporations and the Challenge of Globalization edited by Wesley Cragg (Northampton, MA: Edward Elgar Publishing, 2005, ISBN 1-84542-102-7). The compendium and book were produced as part of a five-year project funded by SSHRC and led by Dr. Wesley Cragg, Director of the Gardiner Program in Business Ethics at the Schulich School of Business, York University. The research project is a response to the phenomenon of globalization which has altered in significant ways the tools available to regulate international commerce. One result of globalization has been the emergence of international codes, norms, principles, guidelines and standards of ethical and responsible business conduct. In compiling this compendium, our goal has been to identify and assemble the most significant and influential ethics codes and other instruments of corporate responsibility. The compendium contains the full text or the most important sections of major codes, briefly introduced where necessary and accompanied by contact details for further information. This compendium can be downloaded from the www.yorku.ca/csr web site, which also contains a succinct list of links to all of the major codes in the document. [...]", Introduction
