Abstract
"El autor es sociólogo, Rector de la Universidad Bolivariana de Chile, e integrante del Directorio del Programa Chile sustentable. Ha publicado varos libros sobre el tema, y en éste recoge su visión de la situación actual, donde se produce una «sistemática y absurda destrucción de la vida en todas sus expresiones; la negación absoluta del valor de la singularidad y de la especificidad de cada fenómeno viviente, de cada individuo, pueblo, lengua y cultura" ["The author is a sociologist, Rector of the Bolivarian University of Chile, and member of the Board of the Sustainable Chile Program. He has published varos books on the subject, and it reflects their view of the current situation, where a "systematic and wanton destruction of life in all its expressions occurs, the absolute negation of the value of the uniqueness and specificity of each living phenomenon, of every individual, people, language and culture"]
