Abstract
"En este breve artículo continuamos nuestra reflexión sobre las relaciones que deben existir entre el conocimiento de las ciencias biomédicas y la elaboración de la bioética. Después de asentar la necesidad de partir de un principio de no concordancia absoluta entre los datos empíricos y filosóficos, así como que los primeros son verdades parciales y muy contextualizadas por el experimento, pasamos a proponer una serie de criterios que debe presidir la utilización de las ciencias biomédicas en la bioética. Tales criterios se basan en saber distinguir los dos ámbitos de conocimiento y, sin confundirlos entre sí, buscar una integración de los mismos en una unidad de conocimiento superior. Se trata de que ambas disciplinas se vayan aproximando entre sí, de tal forma que cada una se haga más capaz de acoger a la otra. Se trata de pasar de la contigüidad a una integración en una unidad de orden superior, sin que ambas pierdan su propia naturaleza. De esta forma, concluimos, no sólo se evitara tanto el error de querer deducir la bioética meramente de las afirmaciones científico experimentales sino también la de no manipular los datos biomédicos en función de posiciones filosóficas previas. Alcanzaremos además una comprensión más amplia y real de la bioética. Esto supone, tanto para los científicos o humanistas que trabajan en bioética, mantener desde el inicio de sus tareas un imperativo ético que hemos calificado de primordial y que consiste en una permanente actualización biomédica en la elaboración de la bioética". ["In this brief article we continue our reflection about the relations that should exist between the knowledge of biomedical sciences and the development of bioethics. After stating the principle of not absolute concordance between empirical and philosophical data as well as the former data are partial truths and highly contextualized by the experiment, we propose a certain criteria that should govern the use of biomedical sciences in bioethics. These criteria are based on ability to distinguish the two areas of knowledge and, without confusing each other, achieve their integration in a new unit of knowledge. Approximating the two disciplines in this way each will be more able to accommodate the other. From contiguity to integration into a higher order unit, without that both losing their own nature. We conclude that not only this posture avoid the mistake of deducting the bioethics from experimental scientific date but also not to manipulate biomedical data based on previous philosophical positions. Furthermore we also reached a more comprehensive and real understanding of bioethics. This implies that both scientists and humanists that work in bioethics must live an ethical imperative in their research that we have described as essential. This consist in a continuously update in biomedicine for research and development the bioethics".]
