Abstract
This study attempts to explore the suggestion of reforestation in the recording of the Prophet Hadith. Hadith as the second guidance of Muslims after the Qur’an, has a crucial role in providing a living environment-based guidelines. One of them is by undertaking with reforestation as the together movement in applying the religion teaching. On that basis, the Prophet PBUH did and tried to seek a qualified ecological balance. One of them contained in the hadith which explain about the planting virtue and a reward for them who harvest. The moral suggestion for always doing reforestation is very appreciated in this Hadith. It contained the concept of equalization or the balance between forest region, region of residence, industrial areas, and agricultural areas and plantations. Thus, the ideal moral of this Hadith can be the moral theological foundation in doing reforestation, and criticism to those who do the destruction of the environment, especially the conspiracy of illegal logging.
