Abstract
The narratives of the Synoptic Gospels summarize the life story of Jesus Christ. The gospel narratives both follow a linear temporal logic, and also the theological temporal logic represented by “Kairos”. This essay will analyze the meaning of “Kairos” in the teaching of Jesus from the multiple perspectives of etymology, exegesis, and theology, and shows the dual-narrative and the dual-time-dimensions of the Synoptic Gospels.
