Abstract
"Estudo com abordagem qualitativa, descritiva, foi desenvolvido com 5 profissionais da equipe de enfermagem, que atuam na UTI de um hospital de médio porte da região do extremo sul catarinense. Teve como objetivo analisar os dilemas éticos da equipe de enfermagem frente à ordem de não ressuscitar (ONR). A coleta de dados foi feita por meio de entrevista semi estruturada, no período de junho a julho de 2010. A presente pesquisa estimula os profissionais a repensarem os seus dilemas éticos diante de uma ONR; ela nos obriga a revermos principalmente como equipe de saúde, qual será a melhor estratégia para o bem estar do paciente. O estudo da bioética, enfermagem e a Ordem de Não Ressuscitar pode nos trazer mais questionamentos e dúvidas pertinentes ao tema do que certezas, mas a reflexão do processo de cuidar deve ser prática cotidiana, é necessário refletir sobre nossas ações e concepções, refletir sobre o processo de trabalho e do cuidar terapeuticamente exercido pela equipe de saúde, refletir sobre a ética do cuidado" ["Study with a qualitative, descriptive, approach developed with five professional female nurses who work in the ICU of a midsize hospital in the southern region of Santa Catarina aimed at analyzing the ethical dilemmas of the nursing staff before a Non Resuscitate Order (ONR). Data collection was done through semi structured interviews from June to July 2010. This research encourages practitioners to rethink their ethical dilemmas facing an ONR, and it makes us to review, as a health team, which is the best strategy for the welfare of the patient. The study of bioethics, nursing and Do Not Resuscitate Orders can bring us more questions and doubts concerning the subject of certainties, but the reflection on the care process should be a daily practice, and it is necessary to reflect on our actions and ideas, on the process of labor and therapeutic care ofered by the health team, a reflection on the ethics of care"]
