Abstract
"O objeto deste artigo é descrever e interpretar alguns aspectos da atuação da Guarda Municipal do Rio de Janeiro e seu papel no conjunto das assim chamadas políticas públicas de segurança implementadas no âmbito daquela cidade. Originária da etnografia que realizei nesta instituição, fazendo parte de seu grupamento de transito, de 2003 a 2006 – e que resultou também em minha dissertação de mestrado em antropologia – esta contribuição pretende problematizar alguns princípios estruturantes das formas de sociabilidade no espaço público ali atuantes. Proponho, pois, o aprofundamento do olhar sobre uma categoria neste contexto bastante utilizada pelos agentes da Guarda Municipal: "pagar embuste", que no universo em questão permite revelar mundos de significação interessantes para uma análise empírica do que se entende, no plano normativo, por políticas públicas de segurança" ["The object of this article is to describe and to interpret some aspects of the performance of Municipal Guarda of Rio De Janeiro and its paper in the set of thus the calls implemented public politics of security in the scope of that city. Originary of the ethnography that I carried through in this institution, being part of its board of traffic warden, since 2003 until 2006 - and that it also resulted in my master dissertation in anthropology - this contribution intends to aid understand some structural principles of the forms of sociability in the public space there operating. I consider, therefore, the deepening of the look on a category in this context sufficiently used by the agents of Guarda Municipal: “pagar embuste”, that in the universe in question it allows to disclose interesting worlds of meaning for an empirical analysis of what is understood, in the normative plan, for public politics of security"]
