Abstract
This article discusses about the da’wa communication strategy of Walisongo in Islamization of Javanese society. The author states that in da’wa strategy, Walisongo always proposes the politeness and local wisdom. The pattern and method of da’wa developed by Walisongo had been experienced in communication with Psycho Sufism science so that Islam in Indonesia is felt more comfortable by the majority of Muslim in Indonesia. However, in the current eras emerged some of the Muslims with the pattern and styles that are different. By arguing to purify and restore Islam to the Prophet teachings, as likely Islam developed by the previous ‘ulama according to some people were contaminated by bid’ah and khurofat. This study explains about the need of doing some efforts to bring back the Walisongo da’wa pattern so Islam as Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin will always be materialized. The scientific study about Walisongo da’wa pattern will be useful to introduce the da’wa pattern with environmentally friendly and da’wa pattern that put more emphasis on the Islamic pribumisasi pattern.
