Abstract
"El presente artículo busca explicar cómo es que la respuesta tan ambigua de Dios a Job “desde la tormenta” puede ser entendida como palabra liberadora, porque trata de redefinir el reclamo por la justicia no como cuestión de pecado y culpabilidad, sino como la lucha por hacer reconocer el derecho de todas las formas de vida a existir, especialmente en cuanto marginadas por la sociedad humana “civilizada”. Se propone que Job no es un símbolo general del inocente que sufre o el oprimido (aunque de hecho no había obrado nada falso), sino que representa el caso de un “convertido” que termina cambiando de perspectiva. Su visión “tradicional” de la vida buena, como equivalente a la riqueza y la decencia, se vuelve otra, más identificada con la abundancia gimiente de la creación" "This article seeks to explain how God’s perplexing answer to Job “from the whirlwind” is, in fact, a liberating word, when understood to redefine the demand for justice not as a question of sin and guilt, but as the struggle for recognition of the right of all life to exist, especially those forms of life otherwise marginalized by “civilized” human society. It is suggested that Job should not be taken as a general symbol of innocent suffering or oppression (though, indeed, he had done nothing wrong) but, rather, the story of Job represents the path of “conversion” from one (traditional) vision of the good life as equated with wealth and decency to another identified with the groaning abundance of creation"
