Abstract
"O presente estudo se propõe a fazer uma exegese do texto de Gálatas 3:24,25. Esse é um dos trechos mais utilizados no meio evangélico para sustentar a idéia de que hoje não há mais a necessidade de se guardar a lei, uma vez que Paulo parece dizer que a lei teve seu fim com a vinda de Cristo. Em resposta a essa interpretação, muitos adventistas afirmam que a lei mencionada por Paulo no referido texto é a cerimonial, cujo cumprimento se deu com a morte de Cristo na cruz. Dessa forma, tentam resguardar os dez mandamentos de qualquer acusação. A conclusão que essa pesquisa apresenta é de que a lei a qual Paulo se refere neste texto inclui os dez mandamentos, em sua função condenatória. Contudo, a lei moral não terminou na cruz, como pretende a maioria evangélica, pelo contrário, permanece ainda hoje, visto que traz os princípios eternos da Lei de Deus. Logo, seu papel condenatório findou no Gólgota, quando foi pago legalmente o preço que os pecados da humanidade requeriam. Tendo Cristo morrido, não havia mais razão para condenação" ["The present study intends to work out an exegesis of the text of Galatians 3:24,25. This text is usually used in the Evangelical circles in order to sustain the idea that there is not anymore any need to keep the Law, since Paul seems to be saying that Law ended with the coming of Christ. In answer to this interpretation, many Adventists declare that the Law mentioned in the text is the ceremonial law whose fulfillment occurred with the death of Christ in the cross. By doing so, they try to safeguard the Ten Commandments from any accusation. The conclusion reached by this research is that the Law that Paul mentions in the text includes the Ten Commandments in its condemnatory function. However, the moral law did not ended at the cross, as pretend by a majority of Evangelicals, on the contrary, it stays to the present since it contains the eternal principles of the Law of God. Therefore, its condemnatory role ended at the Golgotha when was paid the legal price required by the sins committed by men. Once Christ died, there is no more reason for condemnation"]
