Abstract
"«Se da hoy en la sociedad española un vivo debate en torno a la eutanasia. A él, la organización Médica Colegial contribuye con una rotunda condena de esa práctica. Tal postura, establecida por el vigente Código de Ética y Deontología Médica (CEDM), es bien comprendida por todos cuando se trata de una conducta profesional que mata mediante una intervención activa (la mal denominada eutanasia activa). Por contraste, tal condena no es bien comprendida por todos cuando se trata de una conducta profesional que mata mediante una omisión (la mal denominada eutanasia pasiva). Esta falta de entendimiento se debe, en parte, al uso equivoco de algunos términos, entre ellos, precisamente, el de eutanasia pasiva". [""A lively debate about euthanasia is given today in the Spanish society. To him, the Medical College organization contributes a strong condemnation of the practice. Such a position established by the current Code of Professional Ethics Medical (CEDAW), is well understood by all when it comes to behavior killing by a professional (the misnamed active intervention active) euthanasia. By contrast, such a sentence is not well understood by all when it comes to professional conduct that kills by omission (the misnamed passive euthanasia). This lack of understanding is due in part mistaken use of certain terms, including precisely the euthanasia passive".]
