Abstract
The paper explores the dialogue between textualist and contextualist of scripture, which is Quran about formula of inheritance where textualist refers to universality of texts and contextualist base on particular background from the perspective of Islamic Bugis scholar (ulama)'s perspective. Based on the findings, the inheritance distributions is elastically implemented within Bugis culture.
