Abstract
En este artículo analizamos la Historia de la Ascensión de David al poder (1Samuel 13-2Samuel 5) como obra literaria que narra como el betlehemita salió de los campos pastoriles y vino a ser rey de Judá e Israel. Él fue escogido por Yahvé y legitimado por la unción de Samuel, lo que antes ya fuera anunciado. Hasta llegar al trono, cumple una trayectoria como jefe guerrero, un Mesías legitimado por la profecía. El profetismo utiliza esta narración para establecer un paradigma para la relación entre los reyes y los profetas. In this study we analyze the history of David’s rise (1Sam 13 – 2Sam 5) as a literary work that relates how the Bethlehemite leaves the pastoral fields to become king of Judah and Israel. He is the chosen by Yahweh and legitimated by Samuel’s anointing and the one who had already been announced. Until his arrival on the throne, he fulfills a trajectory as warrior chief, a messiah that is legitimated by the prophecy. The prophetism utilizes this narrative to establish a paradigm for the relationship between kings and prophets.
