Abstract
This paper reviews major challenges of economic man hypothesis met from five aspects: ( 1) Maslow's Needs Layers Theory, ( 2) Simon's Limited Rationalism Theory, ( 3)Williamson's Opportunism Theory, ( 4) Leibenstein's X- low Efficiency Theory, (5)North's Ideology Theory. We think that the word economic man has already been that the name does not match the reality so put forward the assumption substituting utility man for economic man.
