Abstract
This study aims to provide a reference in selecting an ideal leader who brings progress and change for the better of society. According to M. Quraish Shihab, a leader must be able to bring progress and change for the people he leads. In the context of spiritual leadership, a leader must be qualified, is As-Siddiq, Al-Amanah, Al-fathanah and Tabligh, then a leader must also have a fairly good attitude about himself, the people they lead first to God for him later will be accounted for in later hereafter.
