Abstract
The rapid development of urban population due to urbanization causes an increase in the needs of settlements and infrastructure and facilities. Gresik City is one of the main industrial areas in East Java. Industry always followed environmental pollution problem. One of them is air pollution. Green open space is an important part of the city's building structure, because it acts as a supporter of ecological functions, improving the environmental quality and aesthetic value of the region. Therefore, this study aims to: (1) identification of current RTH environmental damage conditions from abiotic, biotic and cultural aspects in Kecamatan Kebomas, (2) to know the availability of green open space in Kebomas sub-district, (3) to examine environmental services of RTH in Kecamatan Kebomas and 4) develop strategies for environmental management of green space in order to meet environmental feasibility standards in Kecamatan Kebomas. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis method that is analyzing data by describing data that has been collected, supported by survey, interview, map, table and documentation. The result of assessment of damage level of existing open space on sample points can be grouped into four namely: very good RTH group as much 20 location, good 14 location, broken 2 location, and very damaged 7 location. Total green open space 1,147,23 ha (33,70%). RTH provides environmental services such as: maintaining air condition, catchment area (water system), biodiversity and wildlife habitat and beauty of city landscape. Its environmental management strategy is to propose again Green City Development Program (P2KH), evaluation and review of Regional Regulation No. 8 on RTRW 2010 - 2130 by Bappeda, enforcement of Local Regulation No. 10/2010 on the arrangement of green open space by related agencies and published local government policy to maintain a proper green space on post mining land reclamation PT. Cement Indonesia by proposing to be a natural tourism park.
