Abstract
"Ao discutir as práticas de magia, feitiçaria e adivinhação nos textos bíblicos, estamos perguntando pelos mecanismos e processos de intermediação entre a divindade e o povo. Esta intermediação é legítima ou não de acordo com o contexto e a época, com o grupo ou o lugar social onde esta é praticada. Por exemplo: adivinhação é proibida em Dt 18, mas jogar as sortes através das pedras de adivinhação – Urim e Tumim – não recebe repreensão" ["When discussing the practices of magic, witchcraft and divination in the biblical texts, we are asking the mechanisms and mediation processes between divinity and the people. This intermediary is legitimate or not according to the context and the time with the group or social place where this is practiced. For example: Divination is forbidden in Deuteronomy 18, but playing sorts through the stones divination - Urim and Thummim - does not receive reproof"]
