Abstract
"Permítasenos decir de entrada que no existe en nosotros el más mínimo propósito de abrir con este trabajo ninguna clase de polémica sobre un tema acerca del cual es sabido que existen profundas diferencias entre la Iglesia Católica Romana y las Iglesias surgidas de la Reforma del siglo XVI, o de ella derivadas, las que por muchos son conocidas con el nombre de «protestantes», que, hasta hace muy poco, se empleaba como despectivo" ["Let us say at the outset that there is in us the slightest intention of opening this work any kind of debate on an issue about which it is known that there are profound differences between the Roman Catholic Church and the churches stemming from the Reformation of the sixteenth century, or derivatives thereof, which for many are known by the name "Protestant", which, until recently, was used as a derogatory"]
