Abstract
"Esta denominación, “la cuestión bíblica”, se usó para designar el conflicto que en torno a la interpretación de la Biblia se planteó en la Iglesia Católica a finales del siglo XIX e inicios del XX. Lo que estaba en juego era la aceptación de los métodos críticos que ya habían adquirido carta de naturaleza en el mundo protestante. En el fondo no era sino la llegada a los estudios bíblicos de las exigencias de la Ilustración y de la razón de la modernidad que, como es bien sabido, fue un fenómeno que conmovió hondamente a la fe y a la misma teología" ["This name, "biblical question" was used to describe the conflict surrounding the interpretation of the Bible was raised in the Catholic Church in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
