Происхождение фразеологизма «Подложить свинью». Обрядовая практика славян

Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the the Slavs' agricultural cult.The etymology of the phraseological unit "podloghit' svin'yu'' (to do the dirty on smb) is called in question. The version is proved by ethnographical material, the work with etymological dictionaries. Methods of comparative religious studies are used.
