Abstract
Abstract: The worship to the relies went back to the first years of the Christianity, reaching a great development during the Average Age. Along the Modern Age these sacred objects continued being object of adoration between the people thanks the interest that showed the Council of Trento by increasing the devotion of the people toward these pieces. An evident sample of it we find it in the documentation conserved on the transfer to Burgos of the relic of San Julian, bishop of the diocese of Cuenca between 1198 and 1208. In Burgos, native locality of the saint, the arrival of its relic (happened in 1700) gave rise to numerous popular samples of fervour and to the celebration of large civil and religious feasts that constitute a clear reflection of the spirituality of the epoch.
