Marcadores solares en la cultura de San Agustín

Abstract

Resumen. En el artículo se presentan datos de una investigación arqueoastronómica en tumbas del siglo VIII a. C. al siglo VIII d. C. de la cultura agustiniana. Se habla del conocimiento astronómico que tuvieron los chamanes y sacerdotes agustinianos para diseñar y construir las necrópolis. Se establecen por lo menos cuatro líneas acimutales que posiblemente sirvieron de calendario, en función de las cuales fueron situados los centros funerarios con direcciones al orto del sol en los equinoccios y solsticios.Abstract. An archeoastronomical research on some Agustinian culture tombs dated between eighth century BC and eighth century AD, are presented in this article. It comments on astronomical knowledge held by shamans and agustinian priests in designing and building the necropolis. At least four azimuthal lines that possibly served as a calendar were established, according to which the funerary centers were located and directed to the ortho of the sun in equinox and solstice.
