Gambaran Perilaku Masyarakat Dalam Pola Pencarian Pengobatan di Desa Doloksaribu Lumban Nabolon, Kecamatan Uluan Kabupaten Toba Samosir Tahun 2015

Abstract

Since the first.humans have known some kind of disease,way to prevention and treatment. By using reasoning and based on experience, they try to do a variety of ways to maintain health. Treatment is done either tradisional( shaman,datu or physician) as well as the treatment and healing by medical means. Both types different from each other and in this way can not be met and so far both ways is still needed by the community,both in urban or rural. This is a descriptive research with qualitative approach, and aims to describe human‟s behavior in a search pattern treatment in Desa Doloksaribu Lumban Nabolon Kecamatan Uluan Kabupaten Toba Samosir,2015. The method use is depth interviews with selected informants. The number of informants in this study were 5 peoples. In Doloksaribu Lumban Nabolon, there are 5 patterns of helath seeking behavior that develops namely, traditional medicine, modern menidal treatment, to, a combunation of traditional and modern medicine (Fragmentation) and discontinuation of treatment. Expected to medical personnel and tradisional healers personnel perform better coorperation in terms of providing health service for the community( treat diseases that are treatable by his skill, if not immediately then immediately directing people to power who is an expeert healer) so that the degree of public health in Doloksaribu can increased.
