Abstract
Johannes Cesaris, rondeau, 2 equal voices: 'Pour la doulour l'annoy le grief martire', 'Qui dolente n'aura veu en sa vie'. [Anonymous], rondeau, 2 equal voices in strict 2vv ex 1 canon: 'Conbien que loins de vous soye'. Jacobus Vide, rondeau, 4 voices written: 'Amans doubles or doublés vos amours'. ; 15th-century polyphonic music: 325 secular and religious pieces. Some anonymous pieces, others by 56 named composers, including c. 50 pieces by Guillaume Dufay. The repertoire is mainly in French, by northern composers, though the manuscript itself was made in Italy, c. 1428-36. No illustrations.
