Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present and discuss briefly a passage from the anonymous treatise On the Mohammedan sect (MS Escurialensis h-II-25), second half of XIV century, on the ritual of Las Fadas, a birth ceremony practiced in Medieval Spain by Muslims and Jews.
El propósito de este artículo es presentar y comentar brevemente un pasaje del tratato anóinmo Sobre la seta mahometana (MS Escurialensis h-II- 25): de la segunda mitad del siglo XIV, relativo al rito de Las Fadas, una ceremonia del nacimiento practicada por musulmanes y judíos en la Hispania medieval.
