Abstract
This paper explores Antonio Casos Christian thought as a form of religiosity that opposed Catholicism in Mexico. This Christianity com bined with liberal ideas and certain philosophies from the first haif of the 20th century: such as personalism and intuitionism, resulted in a faith that wasquite separate from the insti- tutionality defended by the Church. The author highlights the survival of Christianity despite che secularization process in nne of the most representative members of the Ateneo de la Juventud and Mexican intellectual life of the past century.
