• Makna Simbolis dalam Tradisi Maccera' Tappareng di Danau Tempe Kabupaten Wajo

      Maccera' tappareng tradition, as the part of culture heritage from Buginese decendant has  symbolic meaning practically and also theoritically, especially for fishermen community at Tempe lake. Practically, symbolic meaning can be seen on: sacrifice ceremony namely to sink a buffalo’s head in the middle of Tempe lake; the special way in sacrificing buffalo’s head to the king of lake (punna wae) which is only known by maccua tappareng; the presentation of walasuji (the name of sacrifice tools) equipments which being a place for putting buffalo’s head and also the others sacrifice; the drum music which become a special code in the running the tradition of maccera’ tappareng; the formation of rules about the obligation and the prohibition which should be obeid by the fishermen. In cultural area, maccera' tappareng tradition is the descedant culture heritage which should be kept everlasting as local culture resources. Maccera’ tappareng tradition has role in keeping Tempe lake ecosystem and social cohesion of fishermen community

      This article aims to determine the Urgency of BAZNAS Institution Management, To find out the management of Muztahik criteria determination in getting Zakat Maal, To find out the service system of BAZNAS officers, To find out the management of Maal Zakat management in productivity in Makassar City, To find out the management of Muztahik empowerment in improving their welfare, and To determine the productivity of Zakat Maal in improving the welfare of Muztahik in Makassar City. Data analysis technique used In analyzing the data the method used is a descriptive qualitative analysis method that describes factually, systematically, and accurately about the real situation and an investigation of the relationship between phenomena. Research Results Show Makassar City Baznas Institution is considered important in managing zakat maal but it has not been given maximum attention by the Makassar city government and the existing Service System in Makassar City Baznas has increased from year to year only to the extent of the institution of Baznas Not until UPZ (Zakat Collecting Unit) which is spread in several districts of Makassar city
    • Management Strategy for Muhammadiyah’s Aliyah Madrasah Education in Gorontalo

      This article analyzes the application of madrasah educational management strategies in Gorontalo Municipality. This study focuses on management in Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Gorontalo City is the process of implementing curriculum management strategies and the process of applying human resource management strategies. The results showed that, the strategy of managing education in Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Gorontalo. First, the application of curriculum management strategy consists of planning, namely the implementation of curriculum planning activities always involve all elements, the madrasah head participates in overcoming difficulties, supervision and assessment shows the results of the final stage evaluation (odd semester test) is quite good. Second, the implementation of Human Resources management strategies, namely teachers and employees appear professional in terms of: time attendance discipline, return, and neatness, carrying out tasks and responsibilities properly and professionalism of teachers in managing classes and changes in student behavior.

      Reconstructing patterns of Islamic education to be basic values of religion provides the scope of Islamic education development. Education is an effort to preserve, transfer and transform cultural good values in all its aspects to the younger generation. Patterns of Islamic education in tackling juvenile delinquency including efforts to improve Muslim education strategies concerning the issue of how the implementation of the educational goals of the educational process by looking at the situation and condition, and also how to keep the process there are no disturbances, internally and externally, regarding institutional or social environments. The application of preventive methods (prevention), curative (treatment) and rehabilitative (quarantine) are pivotal for an educator or school organizers, to coach young people in schools can be focused well; therefore, at least it is to reduce misbehavior frequency among adolescents.

      This article is a continuation of the discourse on the concerns and dilemmas of the development of Islamic banking among the financing of profit sharing with the mark-up system (murabah). This study attempts to explain the reasons for saturation of sharia banks in financing the profitsharing. It aims to present the principles of risk-sharing financing management and also strive to offer its philosophical construction. Funding risk management principles in sharia banks should refer to the principle of tauhid. On the basis of these basic principles, general principles of risk management of musharaa are ibnādah, ibāah, freedom of contract, consensus, principles of engagement, principles of equilibrium and partnership, benefit, trust, justice, democracy and, fath aż-żarīah. These principles are based on four conscious awareness risk, should not direct itself in loss (wa la tulkuu), awareness on the obligation to do good deeds (wah ahshinu) and transcendental awareness (wa-takuw).

      Negative images to street children have raised attention for all those concerned about the street children’s character building. This article discusses three basic problems; the street children reality in Makassar city, fostering and emergence of factors of street children and ‘maqashid al-sharia’ principles on character building for the street children in Makassar, South Sulawesi. In the perspective of ‘maqashid al-sharia’, the position of street children clearly has rules and normative legal basis. Fostering children's character has a fundamental meaning which is the basis of values to change the fate of children, as well as a comprehensive approach to man in spiritual education and noble character. This article meant to emphasize the role of ‘maqashid al-sharia’ perspectives in character building; therefore, street children of Makassar will struggle toward a better future.

      This article addresses the question of marital rape (rape in the household) or a rape that occurs between couples who tied with a legal marriage as a violation of humanrights. The impact of marital rape actions resulted in a huge effect on the victim, both physically and psychologically. There should be a healthy and naturalintercourse which is communicated between the two parties. Principally, a husband should not impose his will to his wife, especially in the matters of sexuality.Imposing the will means inhumanely treating couples and looking at nothing more than the fulfillment of sexual desire. Such deed is classified as an act of rape, namely rapping in marriage or the so-called the “marital rape”.
    • Mark Up, Bai` bi Tsaman Ajil dan Kredit menurut Manajeman Keuangan Islam

      This paper is aimed to provide a clear picture of differences in interest or usury and mark-up that has sometimes lead to miss-interpretation within community in a variety of banking transactions, especially on credit. The difference in price (mark up) in a murabahah transaction by “bai `bi tsaman ajil” cannot be equated with loan transactions in conventional banks, if the mark up its credit determination based on changes in interest rates that apply to each bank and can be changed at any time based on changes in interest rates, and determination that is made unilaterally by the creditor without first bargaining with the debtor. While at “murabahan bai wa tsaman ajil”, setting his mark up is made in advance at the time of the transaction and does not change until the end of the agreement.
    • Measuring The Accomodation of Sharia Principles in Determining the Pricing of Consumer Financing Products of BSM (Sharia Mandiri Bank)

      This study is intended to evaluate the pricing determination of consumer financing products of BSM, so that the customers can find out if BSM provides a treatment of installment payments on consumer financing products in accordance with sharia principles. In establishing the pricing on consumer financing products, BSM uses two methods, namely: the annuity method and the proportional (flat) method. The Construction of pricing on the consumer financing products in BSM is based on: (a) the total of installment payment per-month, it is based on financing platfond, percentage of margin, and period of time, (b) the principal installment payment per-month, it is based on total of principal installment payment per-month, and margin, (c) the installment payament of profit margin per-month, it is based on platfond, principal, and percentage of margin. The pricing used by BSM needs to be revitalized because (a) there is a profit return factor for customers, (b) containing a gharar element, and (c) using the paradigm of conventional bank in setting pricing.

      This study aims to evaluate the wage system fairness of GO-JEK, namely whether the policies and strategies of GO-JEK's profit distribution have corresponded with the economic, religious and cultural standards in the operational area of ​​Yogyakarta, and using the Index of Fairness of Wage System (I-FWS) to measure that. The evaluation results showed that the wage system fairness of GO-JEK in the operational area of Yogyakarta both partially and simultaneously were in the category of “fair”. It means that all drivers got the same opportunity and equal and transparent treatment without any discrimination from PT. GO-JEK Indonesia in the operational area of Yogyakarta in obtaining a profit sharing as the partners of GO-JEK from the partnership business it operates.

      Multicultural education is an educational reform movement. This process is mainly aimed to change the structure of educational institutions. At this stage, students who are members of diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural groups will have an equal chance to achieve better academic values in school. Multi-religion is a situation where there is an existence of some religions in a certain area in which exists in a multi-cultural region. Conflicts which might emerge in Singkil of Aceh are caused by some factors. Among others: lack of the understanding through the existence of multicultural, lack of solidarity among the religious people (multi-religion), and the people from the outside of Aceh Singkil who wants to destroy the stability in this area.  Economic disparities and live in poverty for many years is also as another factor rising this conflict, even if it is not the dominant factor.

This fact shows the proven that there is a “crucial” gap between the objectives of National education and the education result which has been gained. Al-Quran pays attention toward education which oriented to character building and understanding of plenary values. Character building according to Al-Quran should be started from ‘the inner’ of man. The values is internalized and done to be custom to form good character. Al-Quran shows some examples by asking the man to experience the objects and take lesson from them in Islam terms “ibrah” from good models which full of plenary values and is hoped to form the man who have good attitude, large knowledge, good faith and religion.

      Aceh that well-known as “Mecca Verandah” has produced the ulemas with the great works. Aceh’s ulema considered as the first who wrote tafseer (Quranic interpretation) ini Malay language in South East Asia. The tafseer was composed by Abdurrauf al-Singkili. There were still many tafseer books written Aceh’s ulemas need to be explored. This paper will explained several of them and their unique substance. That is important to be mentioned that the ulemas wrote the tafseers in a book, part of the books, article, even mixed with other field of knowledge. The writer will also focuses on method and type of tafseer as Aceh’s ulama works. The creativity of ulemas can be traced through their books of tafseer such “Turjumunul Mustafid, an-Nur, Al-Qur’anul Karim dan Terjemah Bebas Bersajak dalam Bahasa Aceh” etc. These tafseers generally had been written based on tahlili method. Meanwhile the type of tafseer that used consisted of fiqhi, sufi and also ‘ilmi.
    • Menyoal Kontekstualisasi Hukum Islam tentang Poligami

      This paper proposes an idea of revitalization. This idea is based on by looking at the lawsuits occurred within the Islamic laws related to family, especially poligamy. This is proposed because polygamy is believed no longer relevant with the changing times which now requires equality of between man and woman. To address this problem, some ideas put forward to reform and re-interpretate some Islamic laws which lays into two major epistemologies: first, contextual interpretation over the texts which are the basis of the implementation of poligamy which in turn was not the core mission of Islam. Meanwhile, it is believed that the fundamental goal of marriage in Islam monogamous. The justification of poligamy by putting forward the texts do not eliminate but gradually endorse the practices of polygamy itself. Therefore, there is still a room to critique the context of polygamy by contextualizing the polygamy laws in which most previous studies were not objective and tend to justify the dominant discoureses on gender relation.

      Religious radicalism shows a high intensity over the last decade in Indonesia. This religious radicalism subsequently brings a massive impact when it is admitted by the action of choosing violence as the only way. In this article, we put forward our arguments: first, the point of intersection between violence and religion; second, radicalism used as a method to respond to various issues such as injustice, and so on. Third, regarding alternative methods that can be done in order to minimize radical action and understanding in Indonesia. This paper confirms three main points. First, the teaching of religion, especially Islam basically contains the peace teachings and safety; therefore, one was very anti-violence and radical actions. Second, radical action can be a method to hear our voices in response to various injustices that occur in a few places in the world. Third, understand the narrowly religious texts have an impact on building understanding and narrow action anyway.

      The raise of conflicts due to the gap between the majority and the minority in the social stratum is getting more and more progressing recently. The conflicts, of course, are a serious problem tham must overcome because they can corrupt the harmony of life. To minimize the conflicts, both the majority and the minority must be harmonized by using some efforts. One effort that can be offered is local wisdom of the buginesss that is called paseng and pangadereng. Paseng consists of ada tongeng, sipakatau sipakalebbi, dan mappesona ri dewata seuwwae. Meanwhile pangadereng consists of adek, rapang, bicara, warik, dan sarak, local wisdom of the buginesss is expected to contribute effectifely in the effort to build a harmony relationship between the majority and the minority.

      This article is aimed to analyse the servant leadership model in achieving and reaching the vision and mission of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Training because this model becomes an important issue applied by the education leaders. The research methodology used in this research is quantitative research with mixed method approach by Creswell. The primary data are collected though by questionnaire and secondary data by interview and documentation. The sample consists of 36 respondents by using purposive sampling technique. The result shows that from ten characteristics of servant leadership model, there are seven models implemented well. Those seven models are listening, achieving other people and emphatic, awareness, building persuasive power, service-ability, commitment, and building community. There are three models need to be improved, those are predicting ability, conceptualization, and healing ability. This leadership model is not an instant solution to solve the problem faced by the leader, but it is a long-term way, which the result comprehensively gives the change of vision and mission achievement.

      Artikel ini menjelaskan bahwa Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) seharusnya tidak diajarkan dengan indoktrinasi, tetapi perlu adanya pendekatan kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kebermaknaan dalam pembelajaran. Moral reflective inquiry merupakan model yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini dengan konsep reflektif dan self-analitis”  terhadap permasalahan moral yang terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepraktisan desain model yang dikembangkan, dengan subjek uji coba di SMPN 1 Salaman Magelang Jawa Tengah, berjumlah 50 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jika model reflective moral inquiry dalam pembelajaran PAI lebih menarik dan memudahkan siswa dalam memahami pembelajaran, memotivasi peserta didik untuk terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran serta meningkatkan kebermaknaan dalam pembelajaran.   
    • Motif Batik Tradisional Surakarta Tinjauan Makna Filosofis dan Nilai-nilai Islam

      Indonesia. Tulisan ini akan mendiskusikan tentang ragam motif batik tradisional Surakarta dalam tinjauan makna filosofis dan nilai-nilai Islam. Melalui pendekatan interpretaisi simbolik deskriptif penulis akan berusaha untuk menyingkap makna yang terkandung dalam motif batik tersebut. Penelitian menhasilkan temuan bahwa sedikitinya terdapat sepuluh jenis motif batik tradisional Surakarta. Masing-masing motif tersebut selanjutnya menyiratkan makna filosfis dan nilai-nilai Islam yang begitu mendalam. Secara filosofis, ditemukan bahwa makna dalam motof batik yang diproduksi dipengaruhi oleh ajaran Hindu, Sangkan Paraning Dumadi. Adapun ditinjau dari konteks nilai-nilai Islam, motif dalam batik tradisional Surakarta bermakna kronologi kehidupan manusia sejak dalam alam kandungan hingga kembali ke alam barzah. Ajaran Islam yang ditampilkan dalam batik meliputi ajaran aqidah, syariah dan muamalah.
    • Muhammad Iqbal’s Philosophy of Religion and Politics: The Basic Concept of Religious Freedom

      The objective of this writing is to explore Iqbal’s thought about religion and politics as the basic concepts of religious freedom. This writing is done by doing research in library and running qualitative research based on philosophical approach. The study is analyzed through descriptive analysis to get accurate results from the objective of the study. The results of the research are: 1) Iqbal’s thought of religion is based on creed (belief), which reflects on rational thought. Iqbal’s effort on reconstruction of religion gives harmony between religion and politics which leads to the society too. 2) The religious freedom from Iqbal’s thought is based on the political ethics concept. His idea is started with the integration between Western thoughts and the Qur’an. Iqbal’s perspective of ego promotes self freedom, so every person can avoid his self from getting perfect spiritual (insane kamil). 3) Individual that lives in “reality as self conscious” concerns on the powers, which will create a harmony to society.
