• Wacana Kesetaraan Gender: Pemikiran Islam Kontemporer tentang Gerakan Feminisme Islam

      Gender is one of discourses called contemporary discourse calls for the attention of many parties, the youth, among movement activists, academics and students, legislative and government, and the theologian. The purpose of this discourse is to close a social injustice based on gender differences. Furthermore, it seeks to achieve equality between men and women in the social aspects. And so far, of the discourse on gender at least can be categorized into four performance, i.e., as a movement, as a discourse of development, those social issues into religious issues, and as an approach in the study of religion. This paper discusses about the perspectives of gender equality as understood by the muslim feminists. In general, it can be mentioned that the purpose of the struggle of feminism is equality, dignity, and freedom of women in choosing and managing life and her body, both inside and outside the household.
    • Wacana Non Dominan: Menghadirkan Fikih Alternatif yang Berkeadilan Gender

      Jurisprudence has a diversity of opinions over the law interpretation. Among other is the women jurisprudence. Furthermore, the women legal opinion is subsequently not single but diverse. The diversity of women jurisprudence is actually seen as an alternative, that is, ‘gender’ perspective kind of fiqh. This paper offers a non-mainstream discourse over the fiqh by presenting and assessing ‘gender’ perspective kind of jurisprudence. This is done because it is seen that most discourse over women jurisprudence were dominated by gender inequality; and therefore it should be thoroughly criticized. With the exception of akiqah discourses, the way to bath boys’ and girls’ urine, they both treated equally the same. Any physically contacts with women subsequently do not invalidate the ablution (wudhu). Therefore, woman has equal rights with man in custody, witness and leadership. More importantly, in the non-dominant discourse of jurisprudence, woman may be a guardian and a witness to a wedding, even can be a khutbah priest and an imam of public congregational prayers.
    • Wahdah Islamiyah’s Counter-Radicalism Strategy Through The New Media Network in Da’wah Development Of Palu City

      Radical labels and terrorist movements are often pinned down on various Islamic organizations in Indonesia, one of which is Wahdah Islamiyah (WI). This stigma is growing rapidly among Indonesians because the news in the media seems to accuse Islamic organizations of being the source of radical movements. Understanding the media becomes a crucial need in society. In addition, Islamic organizations are required to balance technological developments and utilize communication media in the modern era to re-establish the image of Muslims in Indonesia. This study focused on Wahdah Islamiyah in Palu City and was carried out with qualitative methods and case study approach to see and explain how the Wahdah Islamiyah in Palu City understood and utilized the media in responding to radical ideas that were often attached to Islamic organizations. This research shows that WI has a special strategy in responding to radicalism and has been able to utilize online media even though it is not yet optimal.

      Islamic Nusantara gives a great contribution to Indonesia by bequeathing the various of Islamic educational institutions, which until now still exist and sustainably, Islamic Nusantara has a treasury of educational institutions such a comprehensive, innovative and integrative. However, the great contribution of Islamic Nusantara with the educational institution where its educates and liberates the mankind from ignorance and the backwardness its not necessarily got appreciated for its efforts, but the existence was a "blasphemed"  by people who identify themselves as a transnational movement. Islamic Nusantara is called as Islam which has a great relation between local tradition and culture, this article wish to discribing the seed of islamic Nusantara in Indonesia as well as integration of Islamic scholarship and Western.

      This study reinforces the issue of guardian marriage referred to in the law number 26, which returned to the article 2 that emphasizes that the provisions of religious law are the primary determinant of the validity of a marriage. Because in principle, a woman has no right to marry herself, so women marry other women. Indonesian jurisprudence about marriage guardian law is contained in the Law and the KHI. In Law Number 1 of 1974, it is unclear how to regulate marriage guardians, but it is required that there be a parent's permission for those who are married if they are not yet 21 years old. In the practice of the Religious Courts, the guardian of marriage is a necessity for the marriage to be valid, even the guardian of the marriage must also be assessed whether the mujbir guardian or the regular guardian.
    • Women’s Leadership in Entrepreneurs

      Abstract This study analyzes women's leadership in order to find out how women's leadership in the world of entrepreneurship. The results showed that women always prioritized interpersonal relations, communication, workers' motivation, task-oriented, and more oriented to comparison with men who were more concerned with aspects of strategic design and analysis. A leader today is not only from men, but women are also able to become leaders. In contrast to ancient times, now women are not just homemakers and no longer dominate under men. The concept of gender equality can be accepted by society: women and men as equals.
    • Zakat and Tax; From the Synergy to Optimization

      Dualism dilemma between zakat and tax in Indonesia can be relatively mitigated by ratification of Act No. No. 38/1999 on Management of Zakat. In the regulation, zakat has been synergized with tax by placing zakat as a deduction from taxable income element (PKP). But so far it has not been given the significant impact on the acceptance of zakat and awareness of Muslims to pay zakat. There are also some problems in practical level that contribute to that fact. This article explores the zakat and tax synergy that have been achieved through Act No. 38 of 1999, the problems found in its execution, and of course an offer for a solution to optimize the role of zakat and tax for the people welfare. By examining same practice in some countries, this paper recommends zakat as a direct tax deduction (tax credit) as a strategic step in the effort to optimize the role of zakat.
