Abstract~The Collegiate Church of Santa Maria la Mayor is a brick church built in the 14th century Aragonese style with an ornate Plateresque-Mudejar facade and an exceptionally harmonious octagonal belfry. Inside one can appreciate the diversity of styles, which run from Gothic-Mudejar to Baroque, passing through the Renaissance. The oldest parts of the building are the cloister - Mudejar with a rectangular plan - and the apse, with pointed arches at the bottom and semicircular ones at the top. The belfry dates from the 15th and 16th centuries. It's structure is based on an Islamic minaret. It is topped by an 18th-century Baroque spire. The church has been declared a National Monument.
