Abstract
~The town was founded circa 1st-2nd centuries AD. Most of the traces date from the Mishna and Talmud period (3rd-4th centuries AD). In the 5th or 6th century many improvements and changes took place in the synagogue, as well as in other structures. Seen at the site are the synagogue, houses, ritual baths and an olive press. The community existed until the beginning of the 20th century.Date
