Abstract

Mutluluğun tanımı, mahiyeti ve felsefeyle ilişkisi gibitemel sorunlar, İslâm ahlâk felsefesi geleneğinin hiç şüphesiz en önemliisimleri arasında olan İbn Miskeveyh tarafından sistematik olarak elealınmıştır. Filozof bu sorunları, hem Tehzibu’l-ahlâk ve Tathiru’l-arak, hem deTertibu’s-sa’adât ve Menâzilu’l-ulûm adlı eserinde incelemiştir. Budeğerlendirmede Tertibu’s-sa’adât ve Menâzilu’l-ulûm: Mutluluk ve Felsefe adlıeser tanıtılmaya ve incelenmeye çalışılacaktır. İbn Miskeveyh hakkında yapılançalışmalarda çoğunlukla bu esere yer verilmediği, İslam ahlâk felsefesine dairliteratür tarandığında kolaylıkla tespit edilebilir. Titiz bir çalışmanın ürünüolan bu eser, hem mutlulukla felsefe arasındaki ilişkiyi, hem ilimlerle ahlâkınilişkisini ortaya koyması ve hem de felsefenin bazı sorunlarını ele almasıaçısından son derece kıymetlidir. Ahlâkın aklî temellerinin ortaya konulduğu buçalışmada, Aristoteles’in eserlerinin tanıtılarak mantığın ahlâk alanınakatkısı da verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Aristoteles geleneğini sürdüren İbnMiskeveyh, bu eserini iki ana bölümde ele almıştır. İlk bölümde mutluluk konusuişlenirken; ikinci bölümde ilimlerin mertebeleri ele alınmıştır.

The basic problems such as thedefinition of happiness, its nature and its relation to philosophy have beensystematically addressed by Ibn Miskawayh, who is among the most importantnames of the tradition of Islamic moral philosophy. The philosopher hasexamined these problems both Tahdhib al-akhlāk wa-tathir al-aʿrāk and Tartībal-Saʿādāt wa Manāzil-al ʿUlūm. In thisreview, Tartīb al-Saʿādāt wa Manāzil-al ʿUlūm will betried to be introduced and examined. The works on Ibn Miskawayh has often notincluded this study. This can be easily detected when the Islamic moralphilosophy literature is searched. This work, which is a meticulous work, isextremely valuable both for revealing the relationship between happiness andphilosophy, for revealing the connection of both science and morals, and foraddressing some problems of philosophy. In this work, in which the rationalbases of morality are revealed, attempts have been made to make contributionsto the field of morality by introducing the works of Aristotle. Ibn Miskawayh,who continued the tradition of Aristotle, handled this work in two mainsections. In the first part, happiness is processed; in the second part, theranks of the sciences are discussed.
