This paper was submitted to the symposium held by the Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) during the period 23-24 October 1989 on organ transplantation. The author argues that the baby born with anencephaly enjoys complete human dignity and thus cannot be used as a source for human organs or for scientific research purposes.Date
