The practices of medicine around the world have been fused into that of faith and religion. In serving our patients' need to accept death, physicians must also be sensitive to this underlying basic human concern as they prepare for this final journey. The Chinese and Japanese, reflecting their belief in Buddhism, perceive death as a natural part and an extension of life itself.Date
