The history of Subcontinent is witness that the Hindu creed has always struggled to establish its superiority. It not only exiled all those religions that originated in the territory of India but also merged all the religions that came from the outer world. The case of Islam is exceptional. It impressed the natives with its truthfulness and it became its largest minority in a very short period of time. Although the basis of Islam was attacked many times and efforts were made to create misconceptions in its teachings but it found ulam┐ ’ and scholars in every era who resisted the adversaries by utilizing all their abilities. One of those illustrious names is Maul┐ na San┐ nullah Amritsar┘ . He shielded the cause of Islam with his tongue and pen. When the Hindu creed attached in its new form of Arya Sam┐ j, he not only defended Islam with his tongue and pen but also exposed the reality of Hindu creed. He presented a critical analysis of its basic literature and exposed the real personality of its originator Sw┐ mi Dayanand Saraswati. This research paper focuses on the efforts of Maul┐ na San┐ nullah Amritsar┘ . A critical analysis of his books, journals and polemical efforts is also presented.Date
