dc.description.abstractCollege quality assurance activities implemented in a system called the Quality Assurance System of Higher Education (SPM-PT), which consists of: (1). Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) the quality assurance implemented systematically by the college itself (internally driven). (2). External Quality Assurance System (SPME) is a quality assurance carried out by agencies / institutions outside the university. Required analysis of the development strategy in the education system of Quality Assurance PTKI-Medan formation in accordance with the provisions of the SPMI to the concept model is generated right on target, namely (1) Ensuring the quality improvement in the process of continuing education and (2) The fulfillment of standard assessment by the agency - agency assessment external quality standards both local, regional as well as national and international standards (the world). The title of this research is "Education Quality Assurance Strategy Analysis On Education Technology Chemical Industrial Medan (Ptki-Medan). This study uses descriptive qualitative approach to describe and analyze the implementation of the National Education Standards policy (SNP) of the Higher Education Quality Assurance System (SPM-PT) in Industrial Chemistry Technology Education (PTKI-Medan), as the organizer of the vocational education Associate Expert (D3) in the field of "Industrial Engineering Chemistry (TKI) and Tekhik Mechanical Industries (TMI)”. Analysis of the research problem focused on the implementation of environmental policy in the SPMI PTKI-Medanorganization that conducted the SWOT matrix approach. Research has been done illustrates the following conditions: (1). Internal Quality Assurance System in PTKI-Medanhas been running but has not reached the optimum standard in accordance with the provisions of the concept of the SPM-PT. (2) The implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M & E) in the activities of the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) in PTKI-Medan environment is referring to the provisions of the ISO standard. ; (3) Approval of Higher Education on the concept plan to change the name of the institution PTKI-Medan be politehnik or academy, would enable the creation of new courses .; (4) Required paradigm changes and adjustments Vision and Mission PTKI line with the provisions and requirements of the new state institutions as Poyitekhnik or Academy. (5). Plan strategies to improve the quality of continuing education in the concept of SPMI done with agency policy formation PTKI-Medan Quality Assurance Unit; (6), Yet the fulfillment of quality standards as well as laboratory equipment means the lack of adequate teaching staff (lecturers) is also an element of the cause of the decline in the value of the accreditation of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Industry from B to C. (7). Not decrease the motivation of educators (lecturers) to understand the change of standard provisions educators.
