AbstractThe problem with which this study is concerned it that of conducting a follow-up study and program appraisal of the teacher-education program at Lamar University in order to determine the extent to which the program is meeting the needs of its graduates. The first purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the Lamar University teacher-education program in providing professional educational theories and the general knowledge that will permit graduates to function in the personal and professional roles for which they were prepared. It is also a purpose of this study to solicit the graduates' opinions concerning the program's strengths and weaknesses.
