This article examines institutional, legal and doctrinal aspects of the formation of the national security concept in Uzbekistan since 1991. It begins with the paradigm of the indivisibility of national and regional security and the provisions of the structural and functional analysis. The concept of national security institutions, which are defined as all the power ministries (Defense, Internal Affairs, National Security, Ministry of Emergency Situations, State Customs Committee), as well as the National Security Council under Uzbekistan president and the extent to which their activities to the interests and objectives of security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Parliament of Uzbekistan.Date
