Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of varying the sequencing of supporting and procedural knowledge in application software training. This study employs a 2 x 3 mixed model factorial design with repeated measures on the last factor. The variables are expertise level and content sequence. The participants will consist of approximately 120 undergraduate students from a large southwestern university. Data collection is schedule from October 22nd to November 8th, 2007. The results will be presented at the conference in March, 2008. The results of this study will provide practical implications for instructional design for software training and also other types of online instructional format.
