The journey from a traditional classroom curriculum to a totally online curriculum introduces a wide range of challenges into the instructional design process. This paper explores the process of creating reusable content for the knowledge consumer. It also addresses the relationship between knowledge producers and knowledge intermediaries. While creating reusable content entails technological and sociological problems, our observations were that most challenges were sociological in nature. In this paper, we will explore how many problems were resolved using design strategies. These strategies were developed as a result of the relationship between subject matter experts and the design team.Date
