AbstractThe Classroom Management course at Appalachian State University has been taught with the custom-made content for classroom teaching formatted as descriptive text of the event that would occur in a real situation. In order to improve both teaching and learning in an online environment, the text-based cases are converted into interactive multimedia cases. The effectiveness of multimedia cases is discussed based on the students' learning experience. Faculty concerns regarding successful application of multimedia and instructional design strategies are shared with the demonstration of multimedia cases.
