AbstractThis paper will describe an innovative professional development initiative whereteachers, administrators and curriculum development specialists assume the role of students asthey explore how the engaged learning environment can be supported by technologies inmeaningful and authentic ways. The purpose of this paper is to share a replicable,instructional, technology-integration model designed to help educators (pre-service and in-service)develop and implement learning experiences that invite and engage students toconstruct knowledge and to make meaning of their world. Additionally, details and particularsof the supporting professional development program will be outlined and discussed.
