An Effective Pedagogical Model for the Adoption of e-Learning Platform
AbstractAlthough e-Learning platforms are widely adopted around the globe, their pedagogical effect and application paradigm in higher education are so far inconclusive. This paper took a case approach and applied two skill-based courses (Data Processing and Applied Statistics) to investigate the effectiveness of an e-Learning platform regarding knowledge and skill acquisition, homework management, evaluation, and classroom interaction for one year. The results indicated that students were satisfied with content presentation, homework submission, peer-review, automated testing, and forum discussion on the platform. The instructor also confirmed the platform's contribution to classroom management efficiency. Suggestions and other current studies are also included.
