E-Learning in Health Care - Policy, Practice, Evaluation, and Technical Implications - Emerging Trends
AbstractThis presentation will focus on changes as we face the challenges of embracing e-learning tools in health practice. Current trends and changes triggered by e-learning within, from the perspectives of policy (organizational/system), practice, research/evaluation, and technology will be shared. Specific examples of health tools and applications for end-users within the health environment will be shared (e.g., shared anatomy teaching repositories among Medicine, Nursing, Kinesiology); and team workplace learning models (e.g., Geriatrics). Gaps in current ways of thinking will be discussed. The presentation will close with some implications for health learning systems, and some future action steps/approaches that might be considered.
