dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a student perspective on faculty technical support: while some faculty can readily deliver their instruction using modern educational tools, for several others, using educational technologies in the classrooms can be a challenging and intimidating ordeal. Training, faculty mentoring and students helping faculty to improve overall educational technology use in the classroom is examined. However, it is not just training in the technology but rather training the faculty on how to leverage the technology in the classroom to provide effective technology integration and meaningful student learning and assessment. Using experiences from observing classes where faculty technical support is readily available, the author how faculty support and training can improve classroom teaching. This paper provides practical recommendations to support faculty in the integration of technology in the classroom.
