TRENDS AND DEVELOPMENTS IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN AUSTRALIA

Abstract

Since I assume that most readers of the McGill Journal are not familiar with the Australian educational scene, I propose to outline briefly the traditional pattern of higher education here. I hope that this introduction may serve to illumine the recent developments and current trends which I shall then try to describe.
